Our Rapid Professional Development is for a fast teacher onboarding, and is followed by the Comprehensive PD later in the year. The Rapid PD has two parts:

• The 90-Minute Online Teacher Training consists of short videos teachers watch, after which they answer a few questions. Topics Covered: The CAPIT Curriculum, Instructional Model, Scope and Sequence, Teacher Dashboard, Teacher Corner. and more.

• The 60-Minute Live-Virtual Session introduces teachers to CAPIT’s Lessons Guides that contain important information about CAPIT’s Sound-to-Print orientation. and our unique Visual Mnemonics, and how teachers can use them to help young readers link letters to sounds. Teachers learn how to implement phonics instruction explicitly and systematically, and discover the vital link between direct instruction and student motivation.

All teachers complete CAPIT’s Comprehensive Professional Development later in the year.
