Sound and Spelling Cards

Purpose: Teachers use the Sound and Spelling Cards to create a Sound Wall to teach and review all 40+ Phonemes (Sounds) and 180+ Spelling Patterns of the English language. Teachers add words to the cards throughout the day—irrespective of the subject matter. As students’ vocabulary grows, students rely on these cards to look up sounds and more complex spelling patterns.

Includes: 47 6.5’’ x 10.5’’ Cards.

FOR TEACHERS IMPLEMENTING THE CAPIT CURRICULUM

Our Sound and Spelling Cards bring our Digital Sound Chart to life and onto your classroom walls and immerse students in the Sounds and Spelling Patterns of the English language. Seeing them on the wall and using them to learn to read and spell new words motivates students to progress in the CAPIT Reading Curriculum to collect additional sounds and spellings.

These cards benefit students progressing in CAPIT Reading Levels 2 and 3 as they learn to read and spell digraphs, diphthongs, and high-frequency words.

Teacher Cards

Purpose: For teaching new sounds, reviewing old sounds, and conducting various phonics activities with individual students, small groups, or the entire class.

Includes: 146 cards; 73 cards contain the Lowercase letters, Uppercase letters, Digraphs, and Diphthongs; 73 cards display our unique Visual Mnemonics.

FOR TEACHERS IMPLEMENTING THE CAPIT CURRICULUM

Teachers use our Teacher Cards to introduce the new sound and spelling students will soon learn in the CAPIT Reading Curriculum. Teachers can then place them into the Pocket Chart for review or engage students with many fun phonics activities.

When paired with CAPIT Level 1, students learn all the letters and all the sounds in preschool or within the first three months of kindergarten, at which point they begin blending and segmenting letters to read and spell CVC words.

Evaluation Cards

Purpose: Our Evaluation Cards equip teachers with the tools to differentiate their instruction and meet the needs of every student.

Includes: 73 cards display on one side the Lowercase letters, Uppercase letters, Digraphs, and Diphthongs that represent the most basic spelling patterns of the 46 Sounds (phonemes) in the English language. On the other side, these 73 cards display our unique Visual Mnemonics.

FOR TEACHERS IMPLEMENTING THE CAPIT CURRICULUM

Teachers use the Evaluation Cards to help kids struggling to complete Level 1 because they find it hard to recall letter sounds or blend them to create words automatically. These cards enable teachers to implement our DBRR method to help their students quickly master all the letters and their corresponding sounds and combine them to make CVC words.

When paired with CAPIT Level 1, students learn all the letters and all the sounds in preschool or within the first three months of kindergarten.

CAPIT Alphabet Box

Connecting Sound to Print™ with Magnetic Letters and Science-Based Visual Mnemonics™

Purpose: Our Alphabet Box offers students a tactile engagement with letters and sounds. It is perfect for young students learning the shapes and sounds of the lowercase and uppercase letters for the first time or students who would benefit from a more tactile experience.

Includes: Movable-magnetic wooden alphabet (lowercase and uppercase), corresponding magnetic cards displaying our unique Visual Mnemonics, and a magnetic whiteboard.

FOR TEACHERS IMPLEMENTING THE CAPIT CURRICULUM

Teachers use our Tactile Visual Mnemonics™ to help kids struggling to complete Level 1 because they find it hard to automatically recall letter sounds or blend them to create words.

When paired with CAPIT Level 1, students learn all the letters and all the sounds in preschool or within the first three months of kindergarten.

Alphabet Posters

Purpose: Teachers hang these posters in their classrooms to help students learn and remember the letters and corresponding sounds using our unique Visual Mnemonics.
