The CAPIT Multisensory Kit™ Guide
Creating a Sound-to-Print Environment™
The CAPIT Multisensory Kit™ transforms classrooms into a Sound to Print Environment™ and equips teachers with unique tools for whole-group and small-group instruction and working with Tier-2 and Tier-3 students.
The CAPIT Multisensory Kit™ is most effective when supplementing the CAPIT Reading Curriculum.
Teachers learn to maximize the CAPIT Multisensory Kit™ during The CAPIT Reader Training.
CAPIT Lesson Guides
Our Lesson Guides contain lesson plans, creative and collaborative practices, and lesson scripts that help teachers teach phonics explicitly and systematically.
Sound and Spelling
Sound-Wall Cards
Teachers use these cards to create a Sound Wall to teach and review all 40+ Phonemes (Sounds) and 180+ Spelling Patterns of the English language. Teachers add words to the cards throughout the day, regardless of the subject matter. As students’ vocabulary grows, students rely on these cards to look up sounds and more complex spelling patterns.
Our Sound and Spelling Cards bring our Digital Sound Chart to life and onto your classroom walls, immersing students in the Sounds and Spelling Patterns of the English language. Seeing them on the wall and using them to learn to read and spell new words motivates students to progress in the CAPIT Reading Curriculum to collect additional sounds and spellings.
These cards benefit students progressing in CAPIT Reading Levels 2 and 3 as they learn to read and spell digraphs, diphthongs, and high-frequency words.
Teacher Cards
Teachers use our Teacher Cards to introduce the new sounds and spellings students will soon learn in the CAPIT Reading Curriculum. They can then place the cards into the Pocket Chart for review or engage students with many fun phonics activities.
Evaluation Cards
Our Evaluation Cards equip teachers with the tools to differentiate their instruction and meet the needs of all students.
Teachers use the Evaluation Cards to help kids struggling to complete Level 1 because they find it hard to recall letter sounds or blend them to create words automatically. These cards enable teachers to implement our DBRR method to help their students quickly master all the letters and their corresponding sounds and combine them to make CVC words.
CAPIT Alphabet Box
Connecting Sound to Print™ with Magnetic Letters and Science-Based Visual Mnemonics™
Our Alphabet Box offers students a tactile engagement with letters and sounds. It is perfect for young students learning the shapes and sounds of the lowercase and uppercase letters for the first time or students who would benefit from a more tactile experience.
The box includes a movable-magnetic wooden alphabet (lowercase and uppercase), corresponding magnetic cards displaying our unique Visual Mnemonics, and a magnetic whiteboard.
Alphabet Posters
Teachers hang these posters in their classrooms to help students learn and remember the letters and corresponding sounds using our unique Visual Mnemonics.
Kit contains one lowercase alphabet poster and one uppercase alphabet poster.
