What could possibly be simpler than the
Simple View of Reading?

In 2007, Professor Alan Kamhi proposed a new reading framework called the Narrow View of Reading. To avoid conflating reading and comprehension, the Narrow View restricts the term "reading" to word recognition alone.

Join us for this upcoming complimentary webinar and hear Professor Kamhi explain how he developed the Narrow View and its importance to educators.

What you will learn:

  • What is the difference between the Simple View of Reading and the Narrow View of Reading?

  • How does the Narrow View of Reading impact curriculum development, classroom instruction, and student assessment?

MOST IMPORTANTLY: We will learn how these views affect a child's reading development and how they guide educators in selecting the most effective teaching methods, curriculum choices, and interventions, ensuring a successful reading experience for all students.
