Setting up CAPIT on your iPads

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to get your Students' Profile and your Teacher Profile set up on your iPads. Please reach out if you need any support along the way. You can reach us at support@capitlearning.com.

If your Students' Profiles have not been set up, please reach out to your school administrator.
If you need to share devices across your school please have your administrator set up your iPads.

Download CAPIT Reading from the App Store on your iPad

Download the latest version of CAPIT Reading in the App Store. Please do NOT download the CAPIT Books app.

Setting up CAPIT on Chrome

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to get your Students' Profiles and your Teacher Profile set up on your Chrome-enabled devices. Please reach out if you need any support along the way. You can reach us at support@capitlearning.com.

DO NOT DELETE YOUR COOKIES
Our Chrome version uses Cookies to keep your students logged in. Please be sure to never delete your cookies or browsing history, as this will erase your login information. If you delete your cookies and browsing history, you will need to re-enter your Username and Password and reassign your students to their device. If you need to delete your cookies and browsing history, or you did so by accident, please know that your students' progress will not be deleted. All student progress is stored on our secure servers. But you will be required to re-enter your Username and Password and reassign your students to their device.

If your Students' Profiles have not been set up, please reach out to your school administrator.
If you need to share devices across your school please have your administrator set up your Chrome enabled devices.

PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

It might feel at times like the CAPIT is not responsive. This is because the CAPIT app resides in the cloud on our secure servers. This means that your computer and tablets needs high internet speed to continuously talk to our servers. The best way to handle this is to tell your students to be patient and give CAPIT a few seconds to load.

Navigating Your Teacher Portal

Our portal tracks student daily-usage and progress along the phonics continuum and lets you print reports you can send home to keep parents informed and involved.

Our Teacher Portal provides you with actionable student data. Here are some ways you can use this data to help drive instruction and support your students:

  • If students have low usage, make sure they get more CAPIT time;

  • If students have normal usage but low progress, structure their day to allow for a double-dipping of CAPIT this will give them a chance to catch up.

To log into your Teacher Portal, go to www.capitlearning.com, click on SIGN IN, and login using your email and password.

You can view the Total Number of students that are using CAPIT.

You can view the Total Number of students in Level 1 and the total number of students in Level 2.

You can view what an Average Student in the class looks like in both Progress and Active Usage.

You can view your student's progress in Level 1 and compare it to other students in your class.

You can view each student's progress in Level 2 and compare it to other students in your class.

Click on the Yellow Box to view the Level 1 skills progression.
